With a sense of adventure, Elena and Leigh love hiking together. It was on one of their hikes, deep into the woods near Tews Falls, that Leigh got down on one knee and asked Elena to marry him.

It seemed only fitting then to go back to their spot for their engagement session.

The dawn broke as I drove to Hamilton to meet with them, choosing to hike early in the morning to avoid as much of the July heat as possible. After a 45 minute hike, we finally came upon the gorgeous waterfall.

After getting soaked at the base of the falls, we finished our session on the rock where he proposed. Being able to include such a personal and sentimental location was absolutely worth the adventure :)
