When they both began at Laurier, neither would’ve guessed that their soulmate was there as well. And neither could’ve guess that finding each other would be like coming home.
And on one beautiful vacation weekend to Blue Mountain, Danielle awoke with a stunning ring on her finger. When she looked to Giancarlo, he bent down to one knee.
The morning of their wedding began with a rainfall that cleared to gorgeous blue skies. When I arrived at Giancarlo’s childhood home, the guys were full of jokes and laughs. With his brother and his best friend at his side, they dressed for the biggest day of his life.
At the Stone Mill Inn, the girls giggles filled the room. Danielle’s details were out and ready to be photographed (and goodness they were perfect). She quite literally dove into her dress and her Maid of Honour (and sister) found out that her duties were never quite done. I absolutely love including parents in their own First Look with their children on their wedding day. Danielle’s dad stopped short in the doorway when he saw her. Eyes full of tears, her mom wiping away her own, he embraced his little girl.
Danielle and Giancarlo wanted to do a First Look between them. A sweet moment as she came up behind him, a soft tap on the shoulders. They absorbed each other fully before we moved into the wedding party portraits.
At St Alfred’s Church in St Catharines, they said their vows in front of all of their nearest and dearest. The reception at Stone Mill Inn Ballroom was stunningly crafted by the wonderful Ooh La La Designs and A Night To Remember. Tears flowed during the speeches. And during the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances, they invited up other father and daughters and mother and sons respectively.
The newly married couple and all of their family and friends danced the night away to an awesome live band, Jonesy. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness – thank you so much for choosing me to document your day and thank you for ending my 2016 wedding season on such an amazing note xo
