Wanting to keep things intimate and low key, Yana and Mclean chose to have a city hall wedding with only a handful of guests in attendance. Outside it was a brisk and windy spring day, clouds threatening to rain. Meanwhile inside, excitement for the ceremony filled the home with laughter and joy. Yana’s dress hung in the same window her new sister-in-law’s did only a few months prior. Flowers arrived, the dress was put on, makeup touched up and off they went.

At St Catharines city hall, Mclean waited anxiously for his bride to enter, smiling broadly when he saw her. Some laughs, vows, and rings were exchanged. A kiss to declare them husband and wife to a cheer from their family and friends.
