When deciding what to do for their engagement session, Danielle and Matt mentioned their first date included skating. So, being winter, it became obvious that it is something we needed to include. It brings more meaning to their photographs to include an activity or shared love – the overall session becomes much less stiff and awkward when couples are enjoying themselves.
The days leading up to the session, they emailed to say they were coming in the day before to go to a donut place – of course I had to ask if it was Beechwood! They make the most amazing donuts. We decided then to begin our session in their hotel room – jumping on their bed and eating donuts – before heading to Fort George’s outdoor rink for some skating :)
I absolutely can not wait for their wedding this August – when this fun and down to earth couple will say I Do!
