Lisa and her girls gathered in the boardroom at Legends on the Niagara, looking on as Lisa stepped into her bridal gown. A six-pence was taped into her shoe, a special coin brought all the way from England for her. Then a special first look between a dad and the bride, his only child, on her wedding day.
Downstairs, Bill opened a special gift and card from Lisa – including a “marriage achievement unlocked” tshirt, perfect for this gamer guy. Their “ring security” team was given their adorable badges and signs before we left for the ceremony.
A sweet and simple ceremony brought together the sweetest couple. Their lovely vows said in front of their close family and friends overlooking the beautiful property at Legends.
After some portraits with the wedding party and the newly married couple, it was time to head in for the reception. An adorable entrance by the smallest ring bearer, complete with a break dance, had everyone laughing and cheering. Then the feast was served. With Bill and his family from Nova Scotia, it was only fitting to serve an amazing east coast cuisine! Speeches began and most left not a dry eye in the room. His sister spoke on behalf of their family and late father – emotionally expressing how proud their father would be to have been there. Even Bill had to stop mid-speech, as emotions ran high his new wife stood supportively beside him.
We ended the evening like I always love to do – outside at sunset. The storm clouds finally passed and gave us a beautiful colourful sky for my beautiful couple to take a few moments alone together quietly.
I am so thankful to have been part of such a wonderful celebration as they began this adventure together.
