A cloudy morning in August, a day threatening to rain. Danielle and her two bridesmaids gathered in her parent’s home. Stickers of Matt’s face adorn the fridge, her dress hangs in the doorway. Makeup’s final touches are being added as Danielle shows me the hole she repaired in her veil. Happy tears are shed when Skype calls come in from family friend’s across the pond. So much love and connection within their family.
Matt and his groomsmen exchange gifts in his parent’s home. A home full of laughter and love (and their adorable kitty who wanted to be a part of their day!). Matt presented his groomsmen with personalized whiskey bottles – his drink of choice. Then it was time to get ready because Danielle was on her way.
In the backyard of his parent’s home, Matt waited anxiously as the first few droplets of rain fell. His gorgeous bride approached and a small tap on his shoulder had him turning to see her. A few moments together, truly absorbing one another, completely present.
As the guests arrived at the church, the rain finally released and poured. Danielle waited with her parents and I loved the candid moments that happened when they felt no one was watching. A beautiful ceremony with words and promises of love and forever and they couldn’t have been happier to finally be husband and wife!
We arrived at Burlington Golf and Country Club for their portraits with the wedding party and family while fitting in some time alone with the two of them. Their day was so much about joy and laughter, just like the rest of their life. Matt and Danielle have this amazing friendship foundation to their marriage that allows them those inside jokes and truly knowing one another.
Heartfelt and hilarious speeches, an amazing dinner, and their dances complete (Matt’s dance with his mom had everyone laughing), then it was outside for some sparkler fun! Then one more surprise waiting to hand out to the guests – Beechwood Doughnuts!
Congratulations again to you both – I wish you a lifetime of that same love and laughter that filled your wedding day!!
